The main essence of humanism is to focus on human dignity: every person should be able to express their opinion freely and make their decisions freely without being punished by government agencies.
The social ideal of humanism is that every person can live out their best possible, free personal development, and thus humanism describes the pursuit of humanity.
An essential part of this path is extensive education. The origins of humanism lie in the Renaissance in the 14th century. While people were previously patronized by the state and church, humanism should encourage people to educate themselves, to inform themselves, to formulate their thoughts and to discuss them.
It is in this spirit that I operate this site.
